Why I Titled My Next Album Konko-jabele – Ifa-n-kalleyahAmbassador Abdulyomi Mate (Ifa-n-kalleyah has given the reason he titied his upcoming album Konko-jabele. Why reflecting on his reason for the album and title. He said 'As someone who grew up in a time when love, harmony, and peaceful coexistence were the norm between Christians and Muslims, I feel compelled to use my platform to remind us of our shared humanity. The title of my album, "Konko-jabele – Ifa-n-kalleyah", reflects this sentiment."Konko-jabele" is a phrase rich with cultural and metaphorical meaning. It suggests openness, vulnerability, or the idea of something once rigid now yielding — a powerful image of hearts softening and communities reconnecting. It is a call to break down barriers, open up to one another, and rebuild the bridge of love that once united us.I remember growing up in a Christian home, yet during Ileya (Eid al-Adha), we joyfully celebrated with our Muslim neighbors — eating, dancing, and sharing in the festivities. Likewise, our Muslim friends joined us in celebrating Christmas. There was no division — only love, respect, and mutual celebration.Through this album, I seek to revive those values. At a time when society is increasingly polarized, we must remember our roots — when religion was not a wall but a bridge. He however noted the album listening party is been slated for the month of December and the cream- de- la cream in the society are expected to grace the private album listening party
